Technical specifications:

Our cocoa beans complies with the conditions below:

  • Is properly fermented ;
  • Dry with a moisture content not exceeding 8%
  • Is clean and free of loose or adhering foreign matter (debris pods , wood, and various mineral parts) ;
  • Has no foreign odor ( musty , smoke, pesticides, tar ) ;
  • Is Grade I or Grade II which benefits from the trade designation ” Good fermented GF “;
  • In terms of grain , it has a tolerance of up to 105 beans/100 grams .

Ranked in order of defective beans :

The classification of beans in order of decreasing defect is as follows:

  • Beans moldy;
  • Slaty beans;
  • Beans otherwise defective.

Classification by grade :

Our cocoa is ranked among the world top commercial types which are Grade I, Grade II and exported under the tradename “Good fermented GF”.

The ranking grade is based on the percentage of defective beans:

The evaluation of the percentage of defective beans is carried out by the cutting test on a sample of 300 beans.

Grade 1 :

Grade 1 cocoa is made up of lots of beans uniform color and dimension. Up to 10% of the beans have a deviating weight of more than 1/3 or more less of the average weight of the beans. Bean count : 95-105 Max/100g It does not contain more than:

    • 3% of moldy beans
    • 3% slaty beans
    • 3% of beans with other defects

Grade 2 :

      • The Grade 2 cocoa is made up of lots of general uniform color appearance. Beans Count: 105 – 110 beans / 100g . It must not contain more than:
    • 4% of moldy beans
    • 8% slaty beans
    • 6% of beans with other defects.

For both:

            • Origin port: Abidjan or San Pedro (Côte d’Ivoire)
            • Graining: 120 max (120 beans / 100 grammes)
            • Humidity: less than 8 %

Our cola nuts comes from the Cote d’Ivoire the world’s leading supplier the kola nut. It grows through the forest area of the country.

Of all these species, only Cola nitida Cola acuminata and are the subject of the culture and provide known cola nut. Cola nitida is spontaneous throughout the forest zone of West Africa.Cola acuminata is located in Central Africa,where Cola nitida has been introduced. 90% of the nuts consumed in the world comes from cola nitida. In Côte d’Ivoire, almost all nuts from cola nitida.

Mangoes

A. We select our farmers on the basis of the quality of their products and crop conditions, respect for nature and working conditions. Then, we conduct regular inspections of our product. This allows us to ensure that:

  • The product is harvested and stored under optimal conditions;
  • The product is sorted, before being placed in cartons and kept in cold storage to ensure optimal protection and full protection thereof.

B. This gives us an excellent quality of certified products.

Crop season mangoes begins in Ivory Coast from March to June, with a peak on April. It begins with Amelie and Zill, two varieties average size but widely available on the market. Then comes the Kent variety, the biggest and best known representing 40-50% of exports of mangoes in the country. This variety of mango faces strong competition from Amelie.

C. Burkina Faso is among the top producers of mangoes in West Africa. Depending the mango type the season is from March to the end of July. Crop season for each type of mangoes:

  • Amelie: start March to mid May
  • Kent: mid April to end of June
  • Keith: start May to mid of July

D. The difference between varieties.

  • Amelie: natural green color and round in shape, containing fiber 2-3% and 76-78% sugar.
  • Kent: reference, with its natural color 50-70% fiber containing 1-2% and 78-82% sugar.
  • Keith or Keit or Keitt: with its natural coloring fiber containing 60-70% 2-3% and 78-80% sugar.

Our mangoes are:

1- Requirements :

  • free from black stains or trails which extend under the skin

2- Classification:

“Extra” Class

Mangoes in this class must be of superior quality. They must be characteristic of the variety.

They must be free from defects, with the exception of very slight superficial defects, provided these do not affect the general appearance of the produce, the quality, the keeping quality and presentation in the package.

3- Concerning sizing :

Size is determined by the weight of the fruit or by count.

The minimum weight of mangoes shall be 150 g.

To ensure uniformity in size, the following provisions are respected:

For mangoes sized by count, the difference in size in the package are consistent with the above table.

4- Quality :”Extra Class” :

A total tolerance of 5 per cent, by number or weight, of mangoes not satisfying the requirements of the class but meeting those of Class I is allowed. Within this tolerance not more than 0.5 per cent in total may consist of produce satisfying the requirements of Class II quality.

5. Size:

For all classes: a total tolerance of 10 per cent, by number or weight, of mangoes not satisfying the requirements as regards sizing is allowed.

6- Packaging & Shipping:

Uniformity:

The contents of each package is uniform and contain only mangoes of the same origin, variety, quality and size. The visible part of the contents of the package is representative of the entire contents.

Packaging:

The materials used inside the package are clean and of a quality such as to avoid causing any external where mangoes are packed in such a way as to protect the produce properly internal damage to the produce. The printing or labelling does with non-toxic ink or glue. Stickers individually affixed to the produce are such that, when removed, they neither leave visible traces of glue nor lead to skin defects.Packages are free of all foreign matter.

Sea or airway deliveries:

  • Airway deliveries FCA Abidjan or Ouagadougou airport
  • Minimum 1000kg = 200 to 250 cartons
  • Ship: FOB deliveries to Abidjan port by train.
